Nexenta Core Platform 2.0

Nexenta Core Platform 2.0 is now available as testing releases !

It is Ubuntu/Hardy Heron based and provides 100% Debian environment built on top of OpenSolaris foundation.

Highlights:

• Ubuntu/Hardy based, x86 32-bit and 64-bit architectures

• OpenSolaris based

• Project integration: NWS, AVS, COMSTAR, in-kernel CIFS client
• apt-clone: ZFS-integrated safe upgrade via remote APT repository
• Support for in-place (live) and safe upgrades
• Installer: installs on USB, small memory requirement 256MB
• Nexenta Zones: Integrated automatic Zone upgrades.
• CIFS client now included into default installation
• Xen DomU and Xen Dom0(32bit) support
• GRUB-integrated memory test
• APT repository - status AUTO-BUILDER IN PROGRESS.
