Nexenta Community Support
Every Nexenta user can participate in the community and help shape the direction this new operating system takes. The system is open and free-of-charge, and it will remain that way.
The process of forming the community began 2 years ago, with the introduction of NexentaOS hybrid desktop operating system. This process continues today, with the introduction of Nexenta Core Platform (NexentaCP), to facilitate a small (core) open source community-supported distribution that can be taken into server, desktop, and many other directions.
For commercial offerings, solutions, and support, please check out Nexenta Systems, Inc. website, and in particular, Nexenta Systems, Inc. community pages.

Mailing Lists
Much of the work that goes into making Nexenta happens on the mailing lists. You can subscribe to a list in a normal or digest mode. Or you can review (search, browse) archives of the past discussions. Today we are powered by Mailman but in the not-so-remote future we intend to run integrated discussion forums and mailing lists on our own Nexenta-powered server.
Users Discussion
This is a list for technical support discussions. Here, on this list, Nexenta users meet to discuss new features and ideas they would like to have added or fixed in the next releases.
Developers Discussion
This is a mailing list for technical discussions and implementation details with regards to the current NexentaOS and NexentaCP development.
New Uploads & Patches
Upload notification list for NexentaCP users. This is also a right place to announce changes/patches in existing packages, as well as accept/reject issues.
Beginners Discussion
This is the perfect place to find out more about computers, GNU, Solaris, OpenSolaris, Debian, and Ubuntu. If you are new to any of that, please use this mailing list or forum to ask newbie questions. Thank you!
Weblogs (a.k.a Blogs)
Planet OpenSolaris is a window into the world, work and lives of OpenSolaris community members and developers.
Nexenta Web Forums
Nexenta Forums has moved to Nexenta Systems, Inc. Forums.
The Forums provide an excellent place for you to meet other Nexenta users and developers. They are a good way to find out more about the community without subscribing to high-traffic mailing lists and cluttering your inbox.
Nexenta IRC channel: #nexenta on irc.freenode.net
The IRC channel is your best place to ask for help and discuss NexentaCP releases, suggest new features and exchange ideas in regards to ongoing development.
