napp-it 0.6r and iSCSI
Added by Scott Roberts 26 days ago
Hello All,
Is there a quick step-by-step guide to create a volume (ZFS Folder) LU linked to an iSCSI Target? There are conflicting directions between Ben Rockwood's site linked from the napp-it help (http://www.cuddletech.com/blog/pivot/entry.php?id=968) and the actual steps to configure the LU and Target via the napp-it menu.
Thanks in advance.

A volume is not a ZFS folder, its a block-based unit created on a pool or a ZFS folder. Create it with napp-it menu pools - volumes - create
Now you need a logical unit (a file, volume or disk) create it with menu comstar - logical unit - create from (volume/file/disk)
create a target and a target group with the target as member
create a view from your target-group to your logical unit to make it visible
