We Need Your Help

The team behind NexentaOS is committed to deliver the first open source distribution that combines the best of Linux and Solaris. We'll do everything possible to run the NexentaOS project through its alpha and beta stages, and to release the first ever GNU/OpenSolaris distribution in just a few months. And You could help us!

Every donation matters! Without servers and rack space at colocation facility, we won't be able to provide regular builds and various web services to our developers and users. So, whether you are a Fortune 500 company considering to use Nexenta in the future, a home user with Nexenta on your desktop, or just someone who thinks Nexenta is cool — please consider supporting the project.

Your contribution will be used only and exclusively for the NexentaOS: to pay our ISP bills, get systems for automated builds, cover development costs.

Personal Contribution

Making a contribution is easy: just hit on the button below - and record your name permanently in history and on our Sponsors web page. The font size used for your name will be proportional to your contribution. And starting from $100 you can make your name clickable. Here's how it works:

Let's say, Joe Smith donated $20, Jane Smith - $100, John Smith - $250, and Jim Smith donated $500. In addition, Jane's favorite URL happens to be http://www.nexenta.com, and John's - http://www.opensolaris.org. Then on the Sponsors page you'll see:

If you wish to make a donation and remain anonymous, write to us at support@nexenta.com. Or, if you wish to make your name clickable with your homepage or your other favorite URL, write to us as well. Or maybe you want us to display your favorite URL instead of your name? That is definitely also possible. Your emails are safe with us - in no circumstances will we give away your personal information (including email addresses) to any third party. For more on that please see our Privacy Policy.

On our website, PayPal accepts credit cards and one-shot payments without an account. PayPal is essentially an online bank that allows its users to easily transfer money among each other. If you don't have a PayPal account, you don't have to create one in order to make a donation. The payments are secure. Please donate any amount you are comfortable with.

Corporate Sponsorship

There are three levels of annual corporate sponsorship.

  • Gold ($10,000)

    • The Gold level sponsor will have their company logo on the NexentaOS homepage. All press releases and announcements will report the name of a Gold level sponsor. A Gold level sponsor will be given the opportunity to review the applications of future sponsors to ensure that logo placement and company message is respected.

  • Silver ($5,000)

    • The Silver level sponsor will have their company logo rotated periodically onto the NexentaOS homepage. A Silver level sponsor will be given the opportunity to review the applications of future sponsors to ensure that logo placement and company message is respected.

  • Bronze ($1,000)

    • The Bronze level sponsor will have their company logo rotated onto the NexentaOS homepage periodically.

All NexentaOS sponsors will have their company logo prominently displayed on the Sponsors page. Terms and details of Gold, Silver, and Bronze level sponsors will be handled on a case by case basis.
